I have always loved decorating for different seasons and holidays throughout the year. It is something that I look forward to doing, and I feel like it is a great way to make my home more inviting and joyful.
However, my husband and I have two young boys, and decorations and toddlers aren’t always the best mix!
Having active and curious little ones around and wanting to downsize what we own have both had a big impact on the way I decorate our house.
We don’t have a lot of space to store big bulky decorations, and I don’t want to use decor that could break and potentially hurt my kiddos either.
If this sounds similar to the situation you’re in, then I have the perfect idea! (It is honestly a great idea even if you don’t have toddlers roaming around your house, so keep on reading!)
Over the past year, I have been ordering different pillowcases to use for each season / holiday. They don’t take up much room, and they aren’t breakable. My kiddos love to look at the pretty designs on them, and I love getting to change them out for each season and holiday. It’s a win-win situation!
I love that I am able to use the same pillow inserts for all of the different pillowcases. It takes up way less space to store a variety of pillowcases rather than a whole bunch of pillows!
I just switched out my beautiful spring pillowcases for these lovely Easter pillowcases, and I just think they are SO much fun!
Let me know your best tips for decorating with toddlers! I’d love to hear from you!
